On Wednesday 18 October, Dr.. Fabiana Drincovich, CEFOBI-CONICET, He gave the sixth Conference of the edition 2017 "CIQUIBIC Open Doors" “CIQUIBIC Open Door ".
After welcoming remarks by Dr.. Andrea Smania, Dr. Mario Guido introduced our guest speaker, highlighting the achievements of their academic career and the excellence of its scientific output.
Dr.. Drincovich he shared the contributions of his research group in relation to the biological functions of gene family of malic enzyme in plants, one of the enzymes involved malate metabolism, key intermediate of the tricarboxylic acid cycle. The systematic and detailed work done by his research group, It has identified the kinetic properties, regulatory and cellular localization of each isoform Family. This has enabled the development of various transgenic plants with differential levels of malate, It is a promising strategy to increase plant productivity and thus reduce how to optimize water consumption.
We invite the scientific community, university and the general public to attend the next conference cycle “"CIQUIBIC Open Doors"” by Dr. Alejandro Schinder, Principal Researcher CONICET (IIBBA-CONICET, Leloir Institute Foundation). The conference will be held next 13 December at 11h in the Integrative Auditorium of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the National University of Córdoba.

We invite the scientific and university community, as well as to the general public, to attend the fifth conference of “CIQUIBIC Open Doors” Lectures Series by Dr. Alejandro Schinder, CONICET Principal Researcher (IIBBA-CONICET, Leloir Institute Foundation). The conference will be held on December 18th, 11h at the Auditorium of the College of Chemical Science, National University of Cordoba.
