FACEMES

The Central Facility of Media and Solutions (FACEMES) prepares buffers, cell- culture´s media and sterile solutions for routine laboratory use, for all the members of the Institute. The centralized preparation of reagents and media facilitates research and reduces costs through bulk purchase of stocks and maintenance of controlled quality.

FACEMES also prepares ultra-competent bacteria of different strains of E. coli, for the use of all CIQUIBIC´s members.

Finally, FACEMES also provides sterile tips boxes (10ul, 200ul, 1.000ul), as well as daily sterilization service for all laboratories reagents/materials required (glass, plastic or solutions), allowing optimization in the use of autoclaves.
