Lecture series of invited researchers
Luego de las palabras de bienvenida a cargo de la Dra. Andrea Smania, Dr. Gerardo Fidelio presentó a nuestro disertante invitado, destacando los numerosos logros de su carrera académica, la excelencia de su producción científica, su trabajo pionero en el área de las matemáticas en nuestra Facultad y en la implementación de uno de los centros de computación de alto rendimiento para la simulación de sistemas de interés en nanociencia, nanotecnología y ciencia de los materiales.
Dr. Leiva compartió con la audiencia los aportes de su grupo de investigación y laboratorios asociados referidos al desarrollo de nuevas baterías de litio tendientes a suplir la demanda energéticas del mundo moderno y cuyo desarrollo es de gran interés ambiental y económico para Argentina y la región.
We invite the scientific community, universitaria y público en general a asistir a la conferencia de cierre de la edición 2016 "CIQUIBIC Open Doors" “"CIQUIBIC Open Doors"” by Dr. Diego de Mendoza, Investigador Superior de CONICET en el Instituto de Biología Molecular y Celular de Rosario (IBR), Profesor Titular de Microbiología, y Director del Área Microbiología Básica de la Facultad de Ciencias Bioquímicas y Farmacéuticas de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario. La conferencia se realizará el próximo 16 de Noviembre a las 11h en el Auditorio de la Facultad de Ciencias Químicas.
On Wednesday October 12th, Dr. Ezequiel Leiva, Senior Researcher of INFIQC-CONICET and Full Professor at the College of Chemical Sciences-UNC, presented the sixth Conference of the Cycle “CIQUIBIC Open Doors” 2016.
After the welcoming remarks by Dr. Andrea Smania, Dr. Gerardo Fidelio presented our invited speaker, emphasizing his many academic achievements, the excellence of his scientific publications, as well as his pioneering work in the area of mathematics in our College and his leading role in implementing one of the centers of high performance computing systems to simulate processes of interest in nanoscience, nanotechnology and material science.
Dr. Leiva shared with the audience the contributions of his research group and associated laboratories regarding the development of novel lithium-based batteries designed to fulfill energy demand of the modern world. Dr. Leiva discussed the ecological and economic interest of this technology for Argentina and the region.
We invite the scientific and university community, as well as to the general public, to attend the closure conference of the 2016 Edition “CIQUIBIC Open Doors” Lectures Series by Dr. Diego de Mendoza, Senior Researcher at IBR-CONICET (Rosario) and Full Professor at College of Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, National University of Rosario. The conference will be held on November 16th, at 11h at the Auditorium of FCQ-UNC.
