CIQUIBIC ´s Laboratory of Optical Microscopy and Advanced Confocal Microscopy functions as a shared facility together with the Mercedes and Martin Ferreyra Institute (IMMF-CONICET) and the Center for Research in Clinical Biochemistry and Immunology (CIBICI-CONICET). This facility supports and assists the development of research programs in the different areas of the Chemical and Biological Sciences.
The following microscopes are available: confocal microscopes, DSU, TIRF, fluorescence, Brewster angle, optical tweezers, as well as accessories for monitoring live cells, micromanipulator, microinjector, CCD cameras, software for image analysis, etc.
The laboratory participates from the National Microscopy System (NMS, Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation). Confocal microscopy services are fee-based, which enables maintenance of the equipment thus achieving a high quality of service and providing the possibility that researchers, professionals and other research centers and universities in the central region of the country could have access to this technology.
