Interaction of virus structural proteins with biomembranes
The general objective of this research project is to understand at the molecular level the interaction of the SARS-CoV-2 nucleoprotein and the Chikungunya capsid protein with model systems of biological membranes. It will be analyzed how the variability in the physical and chemical properties of lipid membranes (phase state, curvature, membrane tension, electrical charge, among others) can modulate said interaction in the presence and absence of RNA.
